Sigrid Nana-iro’s balance-type, tiger-themed Beyblade Weiss Tiger features one of the coolest designs among the Beyblade X Basic Line releases. Just like the sharp claws of a tiger, it has sharp protrusions all over it. The blade design is particularly unique. It has three main protrusions and three outer blades that slope downward. The Smash Attack on Weiss Tiger is truly remarkable. But officially, it is supposed to be the perfect balance of attack, defence, and stamina. How? The holes are good for shock absorption (like Knight Shield), the downward sloping outer protrusions can dampen incoming blows for defence (kind of like Viper Tail), and the blade’s main protrusions feature classic attack-style curves to deliver Upper Attacks in typical Shark Edge fashion. In practice, every launch of your Weiss Tiger might not fulfil all three criteria but it’s a fun addition to any Blader’s set—competitive or collector. Albeit it can tank some hits from many Beyblades, the irregular shape breaks away from circular in a big way, which makes weight management a little difficult, ultimately bringing down its stamina.
Fun fact: The German (owner’s origin) word for white is “weiß,” which is pronounced as “weiss.” Thus, the name of this Beyblade. However, the correct grammatical variant of the word to denote “White Tiger” in German will be “Weißer Tiger”—Weisser Tiger, not Weiss Tiger.
