Silver Wolf 3-80FB is the wolf Beyblade of the X generation. After (Plastic Gen) Wolborg’s spin-stealing habit and immense strength that turned stadiums into the Arctic; (MFB) Dark Wolf that battered Kyoka’s Leone Beyblades quite a lot, and (Burst) Fafnir that … must have done something; we have Takara’s wolven design for the Beyblade X line-up. And it doesn’t disappoint one bit. Released as a starter, it is a balance-type Beyblade with an overall round shape. The rounder the shape, the more stamina a spinning top preserves. But the more gaps it has in the round shape (MFB’s Dark Wolf being a good example), the more breakage, and therefore, the more interruptions in stamina preservation or an outward weight distribution (OWD). Those interruptions, however, allow the blade (in earlier gens, AR or Fusion Wheel, etc.) to hit others because they act as the contact points. The sharper they are, the harder they can hit. Silver Wolf strikes a good balance between the two things—being rounded enough and having some semblance of contact points to deliver hits. As a homage to Bakuten Shoot/Plastic Gen, the gear chip has the original Beyblade Bakuten Shoot logo (the triangle part) in the wolf’s right ear.
